1 + 1 = 12.5

Tim. I am the real world Winston Wolf. I solve problems. From what I’ve come to understand, you need a managing editor and have a problem with staying on top of deadlines. I don’t miss deadlines. Ever. Time and reputation are all we have in this world, and that leaves no room for missed deadlines. There are a few things you need to know about me before I can help you solve your deadline problem.

1) I’ve got content smarts

First, you need an amazing writer / editor. I am a high impact writer. I produce content that drives traffic. This one answer alone has driven so much business for Firehawk, because it now owns virtually all search results for the "best Ruby on Rails development." I write and edit for WeWork Magazine and study and learn from the best.

2) I’m going John McPhee Style

In regards to editing, the only way I can clearly demonstrate how well we will work together is by editing my all-time favorite Tim Ferriss post. Here’s a link to the google doc: JP Edit: "Productivity" Tricks for the Neurotic, Manic-Depressive, and Crazy (Like Me)

3) I am the bringer of peace

Equally as important as my ability to write and edit, you need someone to define and improve the process. This is where I thrive. I excel at bringing peace where once only anarchy existed. I’ve done this with multi-billion dollar projects, I’ve done this for startups, I’ve done this in my own life, and now I bring it to you.

4) My life is a giant experiment

I am unconditionally fascinated with psychoneuroimmunology and everything related to the science of the brain and the body. At 14, I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease and told by leading doctors of the time that I needed surgery and would never fully recover. I took a different approach, stopped taking my medicine and decided to heal myself. Doctor’s still don’t have an explanation for what happened except that I’m fully healed with no signs of Crohn’s for the last 15 years. This reinforced one major philosophy: keep experimenting. I live and breathe so much of your subject matter, and that passion and curiosity are what will allow us to produce extraordinary content.

5) I learn, adapt and execute

4 years ago, I didn’t know what a tech startup was. 3 years ago, I created the largest single day startup event in the world. 2 years ago, I started the most remarkable development shop and lifestyle business on the planet. 1 year ago, I taught myself how to be an exceptional designer. This year I’m joining Tim Ferriss. I’m almost afraid of what we are going to accomplish together.

6) Which brings me to…

I am not on the market. I love what I do, and I'm not pursuing other opportunties. I’m applying to your managing editor position not because I’m a fan (I am) or because I think it is an amazing opportunity (it is), but because I feel a strong responsibility to the rest of society to help you produce the most illuminating content. You have such monumental impact on so many, and yet there is so much more for you to do. Your call-for-help post was a calling that hit me at the exact right time and place. It's time for me to help you push the limits of possibility for the benefit of your audience. That is why I’m applying.

7) The gift of flight

I was born in NJ, live in NYC and I’m willing to relocate. In the meantime, I come with flight benefits, so I can jump on a plane at any time and fly to SF (or wherever you happen to be) for free.

8) I am a force multiplier.

Together, we will exponentially increase your reach and impact. I realize the boldness of that statement and do not use those words flippantly. We are at the earliest stages of amazing breakthroughs and innovation, and you have been at the core of so much of this. With me, together, 1 + 1 = 12.5.

P.S. I swear there is not an arrogant bone in my body. I am incredibly confident, yes, but also extremely humble and thankful.

P.P.S. Don’t worry. We’ll get the rights to your TV show soon, and based on what I’ve seen, it will be epic.
