Startup Lesson: from an Airport Restaurant

Quick thought about service… We decided to eat lunch at the airport and picked a random restaurant to eat. We were greeted by the hostess and the first thing she asked us was, “What time does your flight start boarding?”

I understand that this is common practice for airport restaurants, but I appreciate it. They are anticipating my needs before I even think about it. That is great service.

Startups should take note. Sometimes, you can find out the most important needs of your customer and how to provide them with better service just by proactively asking a simple question.
