November 4th is my favorite day of every single year. Better than Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Years. It's even better than Memorial Day which is the unofficial start of my favorite season.

On November 4, 2010, I walked barefoot across a bed of pipping hot coals. I literally walked on fire and was completely unscathed.

From that moment on, fear was a thing of the past. I was going to figure out a way to make this entrepreneurship thing work no matter what. Anything was possible.

I had just left the wonderful world of Corporate America and ventured out on my own. I was worried about how I would make money, what the future had in store for me, if I had completely lost my mind.

I made a massive leap of faith and dropped $500 for a ticket to a Tony Robbins seminar even though my "rational" brain knew this was a dumb idea to be spending that kind of money when I had no idea where my next paycheck was going to come from. Looking back, that leap absolutely ranks up there on my list of wonderful life-changing decisions.

Fast forward 5 years. I get a message from Time Hop that reminded me of how much I love November 4th. I still have so much more to achieve and accomplish, but it's great to look back on how far I've come.

November 4th will forever be my own personal independence day!
